The Fight System


Sorry for disappearing for the past month - 

I've been hard at work working on a fight system for the game!

Right now, I think I've got a pretty good idea of how I'm going to structure it.

Its main gimmick is the use of projectiles that appear after the enemy is done attacking, which you have to block if you don't want to incur more damage. In order to block, you have to press the arrow keys right as the projectiles are just about level with the hands on either side of the screen. Press too early, and you cannot block on that side for a certain delay. Press too late, and you get damaged.

 It's sort of like undertale, except damage is inevitable and the "dodging" system, if you can even call it that, is a lot simpler and is more similar to a rhythm game than a bullet hell.

Some limitations to take note of:

There are no actual effects and heals right now. Everything in those menus are placeholders.

The attack button automatically attacks. I'm honestly not sure what motivated this decision. I plan to restructure it a bit so that it brings up a menu of options as well. 

The stats at the bottom, aside from health, are inaccurate and placeholders.
