Some cool "costumes" and other cool stuff!!!
This evening I worked on a few cool collectable-type things, not dissimilar from the effects in "Yume Nikki"!
Tomorrow, I will be making more, so expect a new devlog tomorrow too!
From left to right, they are the "tenkan", "bunny ears", "halo", "blindfold", and "cutter".
Recently, as opposed to working on the worlds for the game, I have decided to dedicate much much more time to fixing and polishing individual features of the game! This includes these "equipables" (as I have decided to call them in the game's code), of course!
Aside from those, I also finally added some additional functionality to the "full screen events", which are just events triggered by certain interactions where they take up the whole screen. To test it out, I created a bit of animated pixel art! It's showcased here:
And finally, I also added some more functionality to the dialogue system! Allowing me to add some more details like so:and finally, something which i forgot to write a devlog about a couple days ago, I uploaded a video showcasing a new, smaller map, my experiment with rain-like particles, and some background music! SOMEWHERE and THE VIOLET HOUSE actually also have background music already, but since this devlog is getting a bit long I'm going to have to put that in tomorrow's devlog (plus, it's getting a little late and I'm tired, I've been out of the house all day lol)
Oh, and by the way, you probably haven't noticed, but the forum post has been inactive for quite a while now. I might just abandon it, I have a lot of things on my plate in terms of marketing at this point :P but maybe I'll change my mind and post there sometimes just to get that little bit of reach!
